Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) is a lovely wild flower that grows particularly well in damp or boggy soils. It thrives by riverbanks, streams, wetland and marshy areas. A perennial with sweet scented, creamy flowers growing to an approximate spread of 60cm x 60cm. The flowers are often dried and used in pot pourri.
