Our UK-grown deciduous hedge plants are plug plants—cell-grown and lifted from seed trays—making them quick and easy to plant year-round. Unlike bare root hedging, these saplings establish faster, need less handling, and have a higher success rate, giving your hedge a strong start with less effort.

As a guide, use about 4 plants per metre for a single row hedge. For a thicker hedge sooner, try a double staggered (zig-zag) row with around 6 plants per metre. This encourages quicker coverage and better privacy.
