The Reed (Phragmites australis) is a water margin grass-like plant which will reach a height of 150cm. Used extensively for water purification on industrial sites and increasingly on housing developments.
Propagates itself by means of rhizomes, rapidly colonising the planted area. The height is approximately 10-20cm high (summer height) and can be planted out all year round.
Ordered 15, which came in good time... large bubbled padding didn't stop 6 coming out of their pots and rattling around in transit. Amazed none were snapped off.
They're now doing well.... maybe a rethink on packaging is in order
