The Red Berried Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea) is a striking native shrub known for its vibrant colour and year-round interest. In summer, it produces clusters of small creamy-white flowers, followed by dark purple-black berries in late summer and autumn. These berries are not edible but are attractive to birds and wildlife.
As the leaves fall in winter, the plant reveals its standout feature – deep red to orange stems that bring a splash of colour to any winter garden.
