The Spindle (Euonymus europaeus) is a striking native deciduous shrub, commonly found across the British Isles. Known for its bold seasonal colour, Spindle produces clusters of bright red fruits in autumn, which split open to reveal vivid orange seeds – a real highlight in any garden or hedgerow.
This tough, upright shrub can grow up to 6m (20ft) and performs especially well on chalky soils, although it’s adaptable to most conditions. Its oval-shaped leaves start off green and gradually transform into brilliant shades of pink and red as autumn arrives.
Spindle is often planted for wildlife value, offering food for birds and insects, and works beautifully in native hedges, mixed borders or naturalistic planting schemes. Our healthy young plants are approx. 20–40cm tall and suitable for planting throughout the year.

Have ordered four small saplings, which were on special offer. Came quickly and packaged well.
The Holly looks healthy, but the other three are in their winter state.
Have ordered from this company before and the saplings have done well.
