Large Leaved Lime - Tilia platyphyllos, the large-leaved lime or large-leaved linden, is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae (Tiliaceae). It is a deciduous tree, native to the UK gowing in South West Great Britain growiing in lime rich soils., The Large Leaved Lime is also found across much of Europe. 

The common names  largeleaf linden and large-leaved linden are in standard use throughout the English-speaking world except in the British Isles, where it is known as large-leaved lime. The name "lime", possibly a corruption of "line" originally from "lind", has been in use for centuries and also attaches to other species of Tilia. 

A narrowly domed tree. As it's name indicates the Large Leaved Lime has larger leaves than it's cousin the Small Leaved Lime (Tilia cordata)

The current height of these saplings is approx 30-50cm and they can be planted year round.
