Whitebeam is a popular garden tree because of its modest size. It's tolerant of pollution and sea winds. Whitebeam also produces attractive, white blossom and has relatively light leaf litter. Whitebeam fruits are very popular with birds, especially fieldfares and redwings. The leaves of the Whitebeam tree are alternate with a white felt of thick hairs on the underside making it instantly recognisable and admired.

Whitebeam can grow in wide range of soils, but prefers dry limestone and chalk soils. If grown well, Whitebeam will grow to around 50ft (15m).

The current height of the trees is approximately 20-40cm and they can be planted out all year round.
