The English Yew is an attractive evergreen bearing berries in the winter. Not fast growing but can survive for hundreds and thousands of years. Yew likes dry and shady sites. Popular for hedging and topiary.
For hedging we would recommend planting 1 plant per 9 inches for a single row and 2 plants per 9 inches for a zig zag (belt and braces) double row.
The current height of the plants is approximately 15-30cm and they can be planted out all year round.
