The Downy Birch tree is a great medium tree with more upright branches than the Silver Birch though not dissimilar, with slightly browner bark rather than silver.
The Downy Birch is very common in Britain, particularly Scotland and thrives well in wet areas. Grows reasonably quickly reaching 10ft in 7 years.
The current height of the trees is approximately 30-50cm and they can be planted out all year round.
